Göran Nyberg was named President of North American Sales & Marketing for Volvo Trucks on October 1, 2012.
Immediately prior to his current assignment, Mr. Nyberg was managing director for Volvo Group UK Limited, the Volvo Trucks division in the United Kingdom. He has
been with the Volvo Group since 2003 and has served in a number of senior management, distribution and sales positions around the world. Mr. Nyberg joined the Volvo
dealer network in 1992.
Mr. Nyberg has extensive experience leading dealer sales and distribution activities. He has also served as managing director for Volvo Malaysia and Volvo Truck
& Bus in Thailand.
Mr. Nyberg earned an engineering degree from Technical Gymnasium in Sundsvall, Sweden, and has completed executive leadership programs in Sweden and Belgium.
Volvo Trucks North America’s operations and products are guided by the company’s three core values: Quality, Safety and Environmental Care. The Volvo VNM, VNL, VHD
and VAH trucks are assembled in the United States at the New River Valley Plant in Dublin, Virginia, while Volvo engines for North America are assembled in Hagerstown,
